Join your neighbors for a short event on the North Shore Esplanade, Richmond Terrace & St Peters Place, SINY 10301 (across the street from 300 Richmond Terrace, the Harborview School). We’ll remember the food service workers who died on Sept 11, 2001, on the job at Windows On the World, the restaurant on a top floor of the World Trade Center. We’ll read and explore Martin Espada’s poem “Alabanza: In praise of Local 11”, which honors their lives, their work, their families, their aspirations, their memory. Free. This location is right next to bus stops for the #41 & #44 bus. Limited free parking on Richmond Terrace.
