Staten Island OutLOUD is the proud winner of twelve consecutive awards from the National Endowment for the Arts/The Big Read. The NEA presents The Big Read in partnership with with Arts Midwest.
Many of Staten Island OutLOUD's year-round events have made possible in part by Encore Awards from Staten Island Arts, with public funding by NY State Council on the Arts with support of Gov. Kathy Hochul & the New York State Legislature. Some poetry workshops have been made possible in part by a grant from Poets & Writers, Inc., with public funds from the NYC Dept of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the New York City Council.
